Tellable's human-centric talent branding solved a client's recruitment challenges

The business world considers this company a data science behemoth. But little do they know that internally, 30% of new hires were leaving within six months, repeated hiring for the same positions was resulting in twice the recruitment costs, and key projects were ending up getting tackled with confusion and frustration by team members who remained.


Tiger Analytics - a leader in high-impact data solutions for Fortune 500 companies - was struggling to recruit and retain talent. The issue wasn’t the quality of work, obviously, but rather how the company was communicated to potential hires. There was little awareness of their culture, growth opportunities, and personal success stories.


The turning point

Top candidates were opting for competitors with the same reputations. Tiger Analytics realised that in order to turn this situation around, they needed a better approach to their talent branding, and it didn’t take them long to make a call to the company that helped them with their client-facing communications by turning complex products into engaging business stories and wow-ed the audience: Tellable.  


The project was greenlit based on trust, and we approached it with a simple strategy: keep it relatable. We created social media posts, handbooks, and videos that followed employee journeys and testimonials that shed light on how flexible work policies allowed staff to balance personal goals with their careers.

By keeping real faces and everyday experiences (that's right) at the centre, Tiger Analytics’ talent branding was beginning to paint a picture of what it truly meant to work at Tiger Analytics instead of displaying a bunch of jargon, numbers, and AI-generated images. This human touch was facilitating other humans to imagine themselves working there even before they applied. How did we know?

The rollout of these videos happened at a career fair, and it was an immediate success. The video booth was seeing engagement they hadn’t for a long time, and some fresh graduates even expressed admiration for this data science behemoth. The part that stood out as a result of our standout talent branding was potential talents engaging in meaningful conversations with Tiger Analytics's HR team.
