Validus Fintech, an ambitious fintech company headquartered in Hyderabad, is lodging its foot firmly in the second category. Traditional players in the mutual fund transfer agency space focus on digitising existing processes: automating manual tasks, improving data accuracy, or streamlining workflows. But Validus Fintech isn’t just automating; they’re rebuilding the system: a new, more powerful infrastructure for supporting the exploding Indian mutual fund market and bringing all stakeholders onto a single platform to reap the most out of it. Imagine Phonepe or Paytm for mutual funds.
A bold leap
But implementing such a unified platform is a tall order both in terms of development and getting AMCs and other key market players on board. That is why Validus Fintech required a storytelling partner to support them with the right communications, because only stories can capture an abstract idea like theirs and present it in a manner that is approachable and understandable.
Tellable kickstarted the engagement with a brand video, but not before we plumbed the depths of Validus Fintech's core business to understand the Indian mutual fund industry, the opportunities available for its growth, and how Validus Fintech plans to actionise these opportunities. It must be said that coming from art and engineering backgrounds, our team found this exercise difficult, but as we have always believed that the key to good storytelling is in understanding the characters and their motivations thoroughly, we willfully took up this challenge and made sure to gain the required industry knowledge.
A sci-fi story to transport asset management companies to the future
Once our writers felt they snugly fit into our client's shoes, they got to work. Since their vision about rebuilding the mutual fund market was so futuristic, we felt only writing a sci-fi script would do true justice. Our writers transported the target persona to the year 2050, taking them around the unrecognisable changes (read use cases) that their industry would have gone through, only to then surprise them by showing how Validus Fintech is building that future in 2025.
The Validus Fintech team, after going through the script, felt that the future presented in it was a manifestation of their work today, and readily agreed to going ahead with this story. Applying artful CG, stock footage and utopian music on top of the voice-over script, the Tellable team started building the brand video frame by frame, beat by beat.

Soon, we presented a very slick final cut that bridged idea and reality, and made the client exclaim that it was not only perfect for sharing with their industry contacts and business prospects but also reinforced their vision and energised them to pursue it to its end.
Now that Validus Fintech witnessed how Tellable understood their business, empathised with their vision and translated that into compelling communication, they were eager to have us develop more material for them such as sales pitch decks, marketing brochures and finally their website.
